The previous Range Officer Dan Carpenter and Range Master, Larry Black originally coordinated the firewood project.
They are no longer acting in these capacities at the range and are unavailable for contact.

There has been no recent mention of firewood availability at the range.A previous request for information has gone unanswered to date.

The following two individuals would be the best contacts. They are directly involved with range improvements and operations at WEGC and would know whether or not firewood is still available.

Friday setup all day in the back range areas. Back range area will either be completely restricted or partially restriced to MEMBERS on Friday.
Saturday match will close back range areas to MEMBERS.

JUNIORS RANGE will be open for APPLESEED.

The following dates have been eliminated from the CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE on the MAIN RANGE.
a.      June 19 & June 20, 2013

b.      July 1, July 3, and July 4, 2013

c.      September 2, September 4, and September 5, 2013

The project work is being reviewed each week to minimize closures.  Updates will be forthcoming. WK 6-18-2013

Good morning Marvin,
I have contacted the Range and Project Directors about work scheduled for Thursday June 20, 2013.  This is being posted for the Project Director, who is out of town on business.  No work is scheduled for Thursday June 20, 2013 at the Main Range and it will be open to members all day.  Sorry for the delay in posting.  There were a lot of confirmation phone calls to get the information needed.  Thank you for your patience.

Hello West End Members,
The Junior Range will be available to use by all members on all Mondays.  There may be some some scheduled brush clearance being done around the Jr. Range but that work won't close it down.  The commercial weed abatement and spraying has been completed on the Jr. Range itself.  However, the staff will be dressing up the Jr. Range and our road into the range as necessary on Wed the 26th & Sat the 27th, in preparation for our Member's Day BBQ on Saturday, June 29th.  The staff thanks you for your cooperation while we do maintenance around the range.

OK, we all appreciate all the hard work from staff and volunteers working to improve our range.  BUT..full time paying members who don't shoot on Fri, Sat, or Sun, due to crowds, and avoid Tues., due to 600 yard shooters closing the upper bays, don't have a lot of options.  Now, any part of the range MAY be closed at any time.  Very hard to plan a day at the range without specifity or if a member drives a great distance to shoot.   So, we are waiting for that schedule, so those of us who love to shoot can plan something!  Again, we appreciate all the great work, just looking for some compromise.  Thanks.
