California: High-Capacity Magazines in the Crosshairs!
Please Contact the Senate Public Safety Committee Today!

Senate Bill 776, sponsored by State Senator Loni Hancock (D-9), has been introduced in Sacramento.  The bill has been assigned to the Senate Public Safety Committee and could be heard on Tuesday, April 21 or Tuesday, April 28.

Simply put, SB776 would mandate the registration of all magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds of ammunition.  The possession of unregistered magazines would be a crime and punishable up to a year in prison.

It is critical that gun owners voice their opposition to SB776.  Please contact the members of the Senate Public Safety Committee TODAY and respectfully urge them to oppose this bill.  Contact information can be found below.

==========================================
I made my calls hope more of you are out there.

WE have got to get this phone calling and letter witting, down to a science to win. One of the fellows on the list said they had received no calls on the topic. This is good and bad good because the pros gun control folks aren't calling in, bad because we haven't flooded the lines.

I would add that if we have a lot of men with courage, then we would have a SUPER MAJORITY

Have a good day,

Jay

NOTE; email addresses are not currently available for all contacts. Most like to have the online form used for contact. If you are NOT a constituent, they may not respond to you with a reply. It is still necessary to get the message to them and worth the effort.

Here is a sample letter that can be used to form your communication to the committee members.
Hopefully you will find it helpful in crafting a response.

Your Honor,

I strongly oppose SB 776, for it is an infringement of the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution,  a Right recently codified by the U.S. Supreme Court in the Heller case.

We the People of this Great State, and yourself, have so much more important work to do than divide the people by going through and parsing the U.S. Constitution and U.S. Supreme Court cases. Your support will wane as rights of the People are eroded.

We appreciate your time and service in upholding your oath to the service of the People and to the U.S. Constitution.

Respectfully,

XXXXXXXXX
