When you Shoot,
Be proactive – Be aware – Bring your shovel – Bring a fire extinguisher – Use only approved SAFE AMMO – Know Evacuation Procedures and Routes – No Smoking on range – No open fires – Spread the word to others (be infectious)
Wildfires have many possible causes, and target shooters and hunters who are aware of their surroundings, cautious and responsible can make sure they are not among them.
Our Juniors Range, aka Rimfire Range, ammunition restrictions are in place to promote SAFETY. The use of .22LR ONLY is encouraged.
The AMMUNITION RESTRICTION for this range includes (but not necessarily limited-to), the following guidelines:
1. Must be RIMFIRE only, NO centerfire ammunition.
2. Must be .22 CB, .22 Short, .22 Long, .22 Long Rifle – ONLY
NO .22 MAGNUMS, NO .17 CALIBER including high velocity .17 HMR
3. NO shotgun rounds
Our range staff is concerned with the OVERALL SAFETY of our members and guests. Layers of SAFETY have been imposed to help bring the OVERALL SAFETY of our facilities to the highest practical levels. Please adhere to this guideline and help us to maintain SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY.
Thank you for your support and compliance.

West End IDPA – International Defensive Pistol Association. We meet on the 4th Sunday of each month and start shooting around 9AM (updated 4-23-12 per BS, BC). You should plan to arrive early to set up your gear up at your car and be ready for a Safety Briefing with shooting starting shortly afterward. We shoot at paper and steel targets. Typical ranges are from 3 to 15 yards and on occasion may be as far as 35 yards. Typical equipment needed is a .38/9mm through .45 pistol or revolver with 3 or more magazines, 4 or more moon clips/speed loaders, eye protection, hearing protection, a holster and a dual magazine holder for the above. Holsters used should be practical for self-defense either concealed carry or duty style, which are suitable for all day continuous wear. A “concealment garment”, like a vest, shirt or jacket to cover your gear will be needed. A hat and sunscreen are also recommended. READ MORE…
