Volunteering your services at WEGC = Why Volunteer?
When you volunteer you are giving something back to our community by lending a helping hand to people and the organization at large. What you may not realize is that volunteering also benefits you as an individual. There are many good reasons to get involved in the club beyond just shooting, including learning something about yourself. WEGC offers volunteer oppurtunities for everyone.
Some of the benefits of volunteering
You can:
* Broaden your social network and make new friends
* Explore personal interests
* Earn respect from your peers
* Develop additional skills
* Build your life experiences
* Enrich your education
* Uncover hidden skills and talents
* Increase your self-confidence
* Increase your enjoyment by having fun
* Make a difference in the future of the shooting sports and our club
Why not come to a meeting, go to the range, or contact another member today. See what you can do to make a difference.

The January 30-31 gunshow project was great success and I am now asking for volunteers for the March 27-28 gunshow project. Please call Chris at 714-549-2667.
This March show in Costa Mesa will be only eight weeks after the January 30-31 show. So there will be a high percentage of visitors who did not attend the January show.
It will be an opportunity to communicate with a largely new and totally pro 2nd Amendment target audience, and a huge audience at that.
The “ticket line project” at the March show will also have a positive effect on repeat attendees from the January show. It will show them that Bill’s campaign is still going strong. This will help motivate people to get involved.
At the January show we passed out approximately 5200 filers of three very different types. Many show attendees received two different types of fliers. We also obtained roughly 550 signatures on petitions. Show attendance was huge.
A big thank you to the 27 volunteers who worked the show at various times during this two-day event.
Bill Hunt was at the show early on the 31st and came out front to greet and thank the volunteers who were working this “ticket line” project.
At the January show I was struck by a couple of things. When I said “Good morning sir.” as I offered a flier, about 95% of the people accepted the flier. And about 80% of those said thank you. Wow!
One of the three types of fliers we passed out was a xeroxed half page designed for maximum impact and minimum words. Since they were very inexpensive, they could be offered to everyone without the inefficient process of inquiring if the person was an Orange County resident.
I am very much hoping that some Hunt volunteers who did not work the January gunshow will help with the March 27-28 gunshow. Pick the day that you want and the length of time you want to work. And think about asking a friend if they would like to participate with you as a one-time volunteer.
There is a very nice set of rest rooms outside of the gunshow and next to where the ticket line flier hand out takes place.
So here is an awesome opportunity to communicate with a huge number of people who are 100% in favor of one of Bill’s major policy positions, genuine support for the 2nd Amendment.
This project involves volunteers working different days and different time slots. Therefore, Bill’s website MEETUP utility does not work for this type of project.
So please call Chris at 714-549-2667 between 8 AM an 8 PM to volunteer some of your time to this March 27-28 project. Or email me atwc7way@sbcglobal.net, just hit the “Reply” key.
Thanks.
