We are a member owned and operated, NRA affiliated, private shooting club. We are NOT Open to the General Public. Guests may shoot with members in both sponsored events and private shooting. Visitors must check in with RangeMaster at main range on the weekends. If you want a quick entry into the club, consider joining as a LIMITED MEMBER. You can shoot the same day. This will give you a great way to meet other members and our staff. You can roll up your membership to FULL MEMBERSHIP within the first two months. Annual LIMITED Membership is $50.00/year. Members must also pay $5.00/day shooting fee. Main Range is available on non-holiday weekends only. WEST END GUN CLUB, INC. is a non-profit California Corporation (501 (c)(7) Social Club) dedicated to encouraging organized rifle, pistol and shotgun shooting among citizens of the United States, improving the citizens’ knowledge of safe handling and proper care of firearms, improving marksmanship and developing the characteristics of honesty, good sportsmanship, self discipline and self reliance as essential to good citizenship. The Club hosts and sponsors as many different educational shooting and organized shooting related events as possible.
Any person, eighteen years of age or older and a member of the National Rifle Association may apply for Annual membership in the Club. Continuing membership in the National Rifle Association shall be required of all Voting Club members.

LIMITED MEMBERSHIP

***NOTE: This application can be downloaded here but, it must be filled out in triplicate. The three part application is at the range in the custody of Range Master.
Limited members are limited to the use of the Main Range facility on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm and only when the Range Master is present and controlling the range. Limited members pay an annual fee of $50.00. When the fee is paid the limited member receives a limited membership card, which is valid for one year from the date of issue. During that year the Limited member may shoot at the Main Range after paying the Limited Daily Use Fee of $5.00 per visit. The Limited member may bring two guest shooters to the range when he/she is using the Main Range. The Daily Limited Guest Use Fee is $10.00. All other Range Safety Rules that apply to the Regular Annual members apply to Limited members. Limited members do not receive the gate combination, they do not receive a club newsletter, and they are not allowed to vote at club meetings. Limited members do not have a vested interest in West End Gun Club, Inc. Limited members are not required to attend a member’s orientation or belong to the NRA. Any unsafe conduct or demeanor is cause for a Limited Membership to be immediately revoked.
FULL MEMBERSHIP
Full Club members have access to the range, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (except during scheduled events). In addition, Full Club members enjoy reduced entry fees to scheduled matches and the main range. Membership dues are $180 per year. Your first year dues are pro-rated at $15 per month plus a $180 initiation fee. Members can bring up to 3 guest shooters with them per visit. The guests are YOUR responsibility. You must attend a club orientation prior to using the range. This is normally held at a club meeting in Upland, CA, the second Tuesday of each month. Annual Membership is $180. $180 initiation fee is required at time of application.

The general operation of the club is supervised by a board of directors, elected by the general membership.
As a club member, you have a voice in the direction and operation of the club. All regular club meetings and board meetings are open to all club members. Your input is important!
All West End Gun Club members can receive a monthly newsletter, The West End Bullet-In©, designed to keep them abreast of current club events and issues. Members are also able to access the user forum and participate in an online community.
Come on out to the range. Visit a match or two and chat with our members. If you want to join, come to a club meeting and introduce yourself to the Board and other members. You’ll like what you see, and when you decide to become a member, complete the following:
- Fill out the application, (available at the range or follow the link and print one out).
- Provide proof of NRA membership by attaching the label from one of your NRA magazines or printout showing recent NRA application. (MUST be NRA to join and the club would be happy to provide you with an online application: Click Here or visit the link from the NRA logo below)
- Have three club members, or one board member sign your application.
- Bring the application, along with your check to a monthly meeting. (applicant must appear before the Board & Members, at a monthly meeting for approval***). If you are unable to attend a meeting, write a letter stating your reasons and address the Board. Send to club mailing address or to Membership.
- ***Applicants unable to appear in person at a regular monthly Club meeting for approval of membership due to extenuating circumstance may submit a written petition to the Board to request special dispensation. Acceptance of the petition and granting exception shall be by a majority vote of the Voting Members present at a Regular Monthly Club meeting after review of the applicant petition. Approval of all applicants for Conditional membership shall be made by a majority vote of the Voting Members present at a Regular Monthly Club meeting once a quorum is established to conduct Club business. Junior Club Members after satisfying all the conditions of Section 1 of this Article may, with the recommendation of the Junior Club Director, have their initiation fees waived and become a Conditional Club member.
New Member Orientation
All new members voted in by the Membership are Conditional members. Conditional members remain in this status for one year. After that, you become an Annual member if you maintain your status.; you are required to attend an orientation class before receiving your membership card.
All orientations will be held on the 2nd Tuesday at a regular club meeting, after membership approval except by special appointment. Meetings are held at clubhouse in Upland, CA. Special appointments only being for someone who’s circumstances do not allow him to be available the 2nd Tuesday.
The orientation will be at the club house at the monthly meetings.

| LIMITED MEMBERSHIP availableLimited members are signed up by our Range-master at the range. The cost is $50 per year, that fee will include your first day’s shooting. It is valid until one year from the date Larry (fills in) approves your paperwork. You then pay $5 per day to shoot for the next year of your membership. You may also bring up to 2 guest shooters with you who will pay $10 each, per day to shoot. This membership is limited to the use of the Main range on Fri, Sat, Sun, from 8am to 4pm, only when the Range-master is there working. Limited Members are not entitled to a GATE CODE nor a vote in club business. The Main Range is closed on major holidays. |
****ARTICLE II. MEMBERSHIP WEGC (expanded explanation)
The West End Gun Club membership requirements comply with the rules enumerated under the 501(c)(7) Publication 557 relating to “Limited Membership.” The Club has created its own sub classifications for the convenience of its members and provides for alternative memberships based on costs and reductions in services in consideration for reduced membership fees. One of those sub classifications is called “Limited Membership” as a term coined by the Club for members who do not desire Annual Membership and voting rights. The use of this term does not alter the intent of Publication 557.
Section 1. Any person, eighteen years of age or older and a member of the National Rifle Association may apply for Annual membership in the Club. Continuing membership in the National Rifle Association shall be required of all Voting Club members. A Voting Member is an Annual or Life member whose dues are currently paid, with no disciplinary action in effect against them.
A. All membership applications shall be considered without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion or any other protected class or group that state or federal law may add in the future.
B. A Conditional Member is a member who has been accepted for Annual membership but has not completed the initial one-year Conditional Member period. A Conditional Member has use of all the Club facilities but may not vote or run for office. A Conditional Member may be appointed to fill a Board position by a majority vote of the Board, but cannot vote on any Board business until the conditional period is completed.
C. An Annual Member is defined as a person who has completed the required conditional period and whose dues are current. An Annual Member has the right to vote, hold office and use club facilities. An Annual Member is a Voting Member and may be referred to as such in this document.
D. A Life Member is any member who has met the requirements of Article II, Section 3. A Life Member is a Voting Member and may be referred to as such in this document.
E. An Associate Member is the spouse or registered domestic partner, as defined by the State of California, of a Club Conditional, Annual or Life member and has all member privileges except the privileges of voting and holding office.
F. A Junior Member is a non-voting member of the West End Junior Program, under the age of 18 years, whose dues are current. A Junior Member, with the supervision of any adult Annual, Life, Conditional or Associate member, may use the Junior Club facilities and participate in any Club event.
G. An Honorary Member is a non-voting member and has the same access to Club facilities and events as an Annual Member. The Honorary membership shall be valid concurrent with the Club’s Annual membership period. Honorary membership shall be granted, on an annual basis, by a majority vote of the Board. Honorary Members shall be 18 years of age or older.
H. A Limited Member is a non-voting member and has Club facility access limited to the use of the Main Range on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, when the Range-Master is present and also the daily use fees, as determined by the Board are paid. The Club Range-Master shall issue Limited memberships after the required fee is paid. The Limited membership shall be in force until one year from the issuing card date. Limited Members shall be 18 years of age or older and do not have to maintain a membership in the National Rifle Association.
I. A Probationary Member is a member who is the subject of suspension or other disciplinary action that is currently in effect against them. A Probationary member cannot vote or hold office.

Section 2. To become a Conditional Member of the Club an applicant must be sponsored by any one Board member or by three Voting Members. To become a Conditional Member applicants shall submit their membership applications, in person, at a Regular Monthly Club meeting before becoming eligible for acceptance by membership vote at that meeting.
A. Applicants unable to appear in person at a regular monthly Club meeting for approval of membership due to extenuating circumstance may submit a written petition to the Board to request special dispensation. Acceptance of the petition and granting exception shall be by a majority vote of the Voting Members present at a Regular Monthly Club meeting after review of the applicant petition.
B. Approval of all applicants for Conditional membership shall be made by a majority vote of the Voting Members present at a Regular Monthly Club meeting once a quorum is established to conduct Club business.
C. Conditional Members become Annual Members after completion of a one-year conditional period. Conditional Members may be denied Annual membership by the Board due to conduct the Board determines to be detrimental to the Club like those described in Article X.
D. Junior Club Members after satisfying all the conditions of Section 1 of this Article may, with the recommendation of the Junior Club Director, have their initiation fees waived and become a Conditional Club member.
Section 3. Any Annual Member in good standing may apply for Life membership after one year. Life membership may be granted by majority vote of the Board at any regular meeting and upon payment of the required fee. The fee for Life membership is ten times the amount of the current Annual membership fee. Life membership may also be granted without fee by a majority vote of the Board in recognition of extraordinary service to the Club.
Section 4. The Board may limit the number of Club Members by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote. Notification of a membership limit shall be by publication in the next Club newsletter, posting on the Members only portion of the Club Website or by mail.
Section 5. A membership in the Club may be transferable by a majority vote of the Board. Memberships may be transferable to another family member or any other qualified person as defined in the Club Policy and Procedures Manual and for any reason the Board deems to be appropriate.
Section 6. Associate Members may apply for Annual membership at any time, by meeting the requirements in Section 1 of this Article, provided that the Associate Member has belonged to the Club for more than one year with no disciplinary action pending, the conditional period and initiation fee may be waived by a majority vote of the Board.
Section 7. All Annual, Life, Honorary, Associate or Conditional Members shall be issued a Club membership card.
A. All Annual, Life, Honorary or Conditional Members shall complete and return a Club membership card renewal form each year.
B. All Annual, Life, Honorary or Conditional Members shall return a copy of their NRA membership card or an address label from the most recent issue of their NRA magazine along with their renewal form for a Club membership card as proof of continuing NRA membership.
Section 8. The Club shall maintain membership in the National Rifle Association and may maintain a membership in the California Rifle and Pistol Association if ratified by a majority vote of the Board.
Section 9. Members may petition the Board to grant their membership Hiatus Status. Hiatus Membership Status is defined as one that would keep them on the Club’s membership roll as a non-active member. During this hiatus period no membership renewal dues are paid, no membership card is issued; no ballots, newsletters or any other official Club mailings will be sent. No Club membership privileges are in affect, the member shall not vote or hold any Club office. Hiatus Membership Status may be granted by a majority vote of the Board. Members on hiatus may petition the Board to remove the Hiatus Membership Status and reinstate their membership to its previous state also by a majority vote of the Board.
