I would like to suggest that photos of at least the contact persons (directors) be posted on the web site so members new to the disicpline know who to look for when coming to participate at those disciplines.

You have a good point. We might also consider the match directors having a special hat, or shirt, or name badge. Usually though, if in doubt, the guy beside you probably knows who the match director is. Most match participants are repeat shooters. I’ll bring up your suggestion at the June club meeting and see what everyone thinks.

Would you please clarify when the PBR and High Power Matches are scheduled. PBR says 2nd Sunday to change to 3rd Sunday in September. Today Sunday, June 13th (second sunday-Action pistol was yesterdy) there was a HP match, not PBR. Did the schedule swap in 2009 or wil swap in 2010? If so it’s time to take that note off the schedule as HP is 2nd Sun and PBR is 3rd.

Currently, the directors have indicated that HP matches take place on the 2nd Sunday of each month and the PBR takes place the 3rd Sunday of each month. This is subject to change including swaps and/or cancellations. A major switch of weekends, took place in 2009 – one match in August and the other in September. It is rumored that one match may be swapped later this year for just one month. There are also several scheduled cancellations on the calendar for the remainder fo this year. See club calendar and contact the directors themselves for the most up to date and latest schedules. This page is designed to serve as a overall picture of the scheduled matches, but is changing so much, we may take it down and direct everyone to the calendar for each specific month. This is a general guideline for the monthly match schedule, but it is common to see one or more changes to this schedule each month.

Hello everyone. I agree with some of the comments on having range staff and staff wearing something to identify them. I have no idea who the range masters are or staff. I have met some of the guys but anyone beyond that, can be anyone. I think it would help new comers as well as those who are veterans of the range but only come and shoot from time to time. It would make it more professional and friendly. This is the greatest range.
Match Directors are usually identified for specific matches. Range Masters have hats, reflective vests, shirts, and signs on their vehicles. It is easy to spot range officials. If Range Masters are on duty, check in with the Main Range if you have questions or concerns. They can be handled there. Range Masters have had their photos posted on the website for quite awhile now. Come on out to the range and get introduced.
